Reservations
Reservations are handled on a first come first served basis and are only confirmed with a deposit. The deposit amount is approximately half of the reservation total with the balance due 7 days before check-in. We cannot hold any dates until we have received your deposit. While these deposits are non-refundable, they can be applied towards a future stay with us should your plans change.
Rates are subject to change and will only be guaranteed with a deposit. Reseravtion quotes provided by us within 30 days of a rate change will be honored. Quotes provided more than 30 days before a rate change will be subject to the updated rates.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express credit cards. We also accept checks and cash in US currency and drawn from a US bank. Checks must be made payable to Port Gamble Guest Houses. Foreign currency and checks drawn on non-US banks will not be accepted.
All reservations require a 2-night minimum for stays Oct 1 - Apr 30 and 3-night minimum for stays May 1 - Sep 30.
When you are ready to reserve, contact us directly and we will provide you with the methods for making a deposit.
Check our online availability calendar (updated daily) to see if your desired dates are available.
To make a reservation, contact us at: info@portgambleguesthouse.com or 360-447-8473.
Cancellation Policy
All payments are non-refundable. However, you are more than welcome to change your reservation date at any time up to 7 days prior to your arrival date. Under that circumstance, all payments received can be applied towards the new reservation. Cancellations requested within 7 days of your arrival (or if you are a no-show) will result in forfeiture of all payments.
Occupancy Limits
Occupancy limits are one of our most important policies because they are set by the Washington State Department of Health.
- Guest House 1: 10 people
- Guest House 2: 8 people
- Jamieson Suite: 3 people
Please note that we do not have adquate parking space for RVs on the property. Additionally we do not permit camper vehicles or tents to house additional guests. Overnight RV parking for additional vehicles is not available on our property or in town. Violators may be ticketed and/or towed. Please visit Kitsap Memorial State Park for nearby RV/camper accommodations.
These policies are strictly enforced. Violations of these policies will result in additional fees.
Jamieson Suite
The Jamieson Suite is comprises the first floor bedroom and bath, sitting room , kitchen and laundry. No other parts of the house (upstairs) may be used when only renting the Suite. Signs of use upstairs will result in additional charges equating to the rental and cleaning fees for the entire house for the full duration of your stay.
Use Capacity Limit (for gatherings)
Use capacity is the total number of people the houses can support temporarily (e.g. for an event). Port Gamble Guest Houses' historic homes cannot support large events/parties. The houses have an enforced guest “use capacity limit” which includes registered guests:
- Guest House 1: 15 including registered guests
- Guest House 2: 12 including registered guests
- Jamieson Suite: no gatherings permitted with this rental option
We recommend parties exceeding these numbers contact Port Gamble Events at 360-297-8074 for use of larger Port Gamble facilities. In addition, all weddings must be arranged through Port Gamble Events.
A maximum of 30 guests may attend an event with the rental of both Guest Houses 1 and 2. Please respect the use capacity limit inside the houses. A portable toilet is required for use by the balance of guests when an event number exceeds the maximum occupancy limit. Port Gamble Guest Houses can assist you with arranging this service. The fee for this is $295 and is non-taxable.
There will be a $400 damage deposit – processed within 7 days of checkout – for parties that exceed the maximum occupancy limit. Also remember that check-out responsibilities apply here as well.
Smoking
Please note that smoking (including vaping) is prohibited everywhere on our property - not just inside the houses. Evidence of this activity found inside the houses will incur a flat fee of $250.
Check in/out Times
Check-in is anytime on the first day of your reseravtion. Check-out is by 11 am. Guests checking out after 11 am will incur a full day charge at the daily rate.
Check-in instructions are provided within 7 days of arrival and after the balance has been paid in full. For security reasons, we will only provide this information to the person listed on the reservation. You are welcome to share this with other members of your party but be aware that we will not provide it should they contact us. If you wish to include others in that notification, you will need to provide their contact information (name, e-mail and phone).
Town Events
The grounds around the houses extend to the white picket fence which marks the property. Port Gamble is very busy with events spring and summer. Port Gamble management sites all events which may border the property and impact your event. Please visit www.PortGamble.com or contact the Port Gamble Events Coordinator at 360.297.8074 with your questions/concerns.
